Spartan One-Stop: progressing toward additional student success support

Spartan One-Stop is on track!

Echoed in the early 2024 update, Spartan One-Stop will combine services in the Office of the Registrar, Office of Financial Aid, and Student Accounts to simplify the student experience through integrated services, ensuring the journey of every Spartan is marked by convenience and individualized support. 

Progress updates
Throughout the spring semester 2024, the Spartan One-Stop team hired and trained new solutions specialists who will support students reaching out with questions and needing assistance. The One-Stop team designed a robust training for these staff members focused on learning how to answer front line questions, the importance of customer service and how to navigate university systems and processes. These new employees spent the summer semester partnering with the Registrar’s Office, Financial Aid and Student Accounts to learn how to navigate office-specific inquires and how warm hand-offs will take place between support teams to resolve concerns. 

Early August 2024 was an exciting time for Spartan One-Stop with the soft launch of email services. Support emails for the Office of the Registrar, Financial Aid and Student Accounts now redirect to the One-Stop team. This soft launch allows for little disruption to how students currently seek email support and allows the team to acclimate to their new roles. Additional virtual support will be introduced in fall 2024 when the One-Stop team begins managing phone inquiries for the three offices.

Finally, in spring 2025 students will be welcomed into the physical Spartan One-Stop space on campus. Opening in the Hannah Administration Building, this space will offer self-service kiosks and in-person staff to support student questions and needs, expanding upon the virtual services introduced this fall. 

Above all, Spartan One-Stop will reduce the administrative barriers some students face in their academic experience. Through education, access and effective customer service, student success will be at the forefront of all Spartan One-Stop interactions.
