MSU’s Spartan One-Stop is on the way!

Combining services in the Office of the Registrar, Office of Financial Aid, and Student Accounts, the Spartan One-Stop will simplify the Spartan student experience through these integrated services, ensuring the journey of every student is marked by convenience and individualized support.

ce while navigating their enrollment, financial aid, and tuition and billing needs. Highly knowledgeable staff with expertise in the areas of the Office of the Registrar, Office of Financial Aid, and Student Accounts will be centrally located on the first floor of the Hannah Administration Building to provide efficient and effective customer-service to Spartans on a wide range of questions, ending the days of students walking campus end-to-end to find support.

The Office of the Vice Provost of Enrollment Services and Academic Strategic Planning, led by Dr. Dave Weatherspoon, provides executive sponsorship for the Spartan One-Stop team, with support from the Office of the Provost. Advisory and steering committees, as well as collaborative partners across business units and campus are providing strategic direction and recommendations to bring the One-Stop to fruition. A landscape analysis of peer institutions’ One-Stops also took place in 2022 to assess services and challenges to bringing this office to MSU, providing valuable insight as MSU embarks on the Spartan One-Stop.

“I am excited about bringing the Spartan One-Stop to campus. It will improve the student experience and enhance our ability to proactively and effectively resolve student questions, concerns or issues as they relate to enrollment, financial aid and student accounts,” said Dave Weatherspoon, vice provost of Enrollment Services and Academic Strategic planning. “The success of our students relies heavily on their ability to navigate all the corners of our institution, and the Spartan One-Stop will facilitate just that.”

The Spartan One-Stop team will be phasing in services over the course of the next year, with accessible online services launching in mid-fall 2024. With these services, students will be able to virtually engage with One-Stop staff members through email, phone and live chat to resolve questions and concerns with financial aid, registrar and billing.

Then in early 2025, the Spartan One-Stop team will begin welcoming students and the Spartan community in the newly renovated, in-person space on the first floor of the Hannah Administration Building. At full operations, students will have multiple methods to connect with One-Stop staff members through virtual, in-person, web and other self-service options.
